The last time I left off, Ash & Misty were in Pallet Town trying to get some
sleep in Ash's room. It's late January. Here it begins in Pallet Town.
Chapter 1: Secrets
Misty gazed in wonder at the blue Pokédex. She was in Ash's bed, which
seemed different to him- it seemed bigger. His 'old' bed had only room for 1 person- this
bed could fit 2 pillows. "Misty, something wrong?" Ash wondered, "It seems
like you're not impressed with your Pokédex."
"I am impressed, just..." she didn't know what to say. She
closed it, then looked down towards herself in the bed. "...just- it just feels too
light."
"I know why that is. Your Pokédex doesn't have as much info as
mine- weigh mine against your Pokédex." Ash stuffed his red Pokédex into her left
hand. She did that, and it was easy to see Ash's was heavier. "You're right,
Ash." Misty quietly exclaimed. They were only in their pajamas, and somehow they got
to sleep, but it got done a lot easier with each other. It was 9 in the evening when they
got to sleep with each other's love.
At 10 at night, Ash suddenly woke up. His mom was walking into his room
with something. The light switch was within an arm's reach so he turned on the light,
& woke Misty up quickly. "What's up, Ash?"
"Just take a look.". He helped her up to a
'criss-cross-applesauce' type of seat. They relaxed when they saw it was only Ash's mom
with a little dessert for them & some milk. "Thanks, mom." Ash said.
"Oh, it's okay. Did I wake you up?"
"And scared us a little." Misty replied, "But, thanks.
Being trainers & all, it's nice to have something keep us on our toes <giggles
& gives her a ^_^ face>.". The dessert was a little chunk of fudge with some
milk. When Ash was done, he didn't know why his bed was bigger. "Hey, Mom, why's my
bed bigger?". Neither Misty nor Ash knew what she was about to say about their social
lives.
"Well, the last time you were home I heard you say 'I love you' to
each other so,"
"So..." Ash was blushing nervously, and Misty was beginning
to engulf Ash with her arms. Misty was scared, for good reasons.
"I decided to get a bigger bed so you could sleep with each
other!". Ash & Misty could only look at her open-mouthed as she walked out of the
room & closed the door behind her. They threw the paper plates & cups in the trash
easily (they do t h r o w Poké Balls a lot, don't they?), and got to sleep disgusted
about Ms. Ketchum. Ash murmured to Misty that they "should watch what they say in bed
here".
Chapter 2: Acts
Neither of them got a good night's rest because they had that thing Ms.
Ketchum had told them. Ash & Misty got to sleep at 11 P.M. that night. Misty somehow
dreamed of the time they would get divorced once they had gotten married. Ash just tossed
& turned, and didn't dream about anything. And all the while, it was getting colder
& colder. Misty suddenly woke up to find that Ash's movement had taken all the
blankets off, and it was cold already! She shoved Ash to wake him up. "Ash, wake
up!" Misty squealed nervously.
"What's- it's freezing!" he chirped. Ash grabbed one of the
blankets from the floor & wrapped himself in it. The third one he threw on the bed
near Misty's feet. "Misty, I'm going downstairs to turn the furnace up."
"Let me come with you." she chimed nervously.
"Okay. But we have to stick together..." Ash wrapped her up
in the same blanket he was in. They slowly stumbled out of Ash's room & fell down on
the stairs in a heap. "I hope my mom doesn't wake up!" Ash hissed at himself.
"So do I." Misty replied nervously. They got back on their
feet & huddled up with each other in that blanket. "There it is." Ash
noticed. He put his hand on the sliding switch, and turned it back up to a little over 70
degrees. They they hastily climbed up the stairs wrapped in one blanket. It was 3 in the
morning when they got to sleep.
The next time they awaken, it's 9 in the morning. "Misty, Misty, I
know you're in there." Ash gasped nervously, and then shoved her a little.
"Huh- oh, it's only you Ash. Where do you think we should
go?" Misty sat up face-to-face with him.
"I don't know, but what I do know is that we have to figure out
where soon." Ash said worriengly. Misty stretched her arms out, and Ash just walked
downstairs to see what was for breakfast. His mom was cooking in now & told him it'd
be ready in an hour. Misty was already in the bathroom taking a shower, and Ash took his
downstairs. When Ash got out, it was 9:30, and he walked back up the stairs to let Misty
know she only had 30 minutes. "Misty!"
"I can barely hear you, but what is it?"
"You've got 30 minutes before breakfast! That's all."
"Okay." Misty called back, and turned the dial so no more
water would come out. Ash already had his hair dry & was just waiting for breakfast
& Misty. When Misty finally got out of there, (she had clothes on, not pajamas) Ash
noticed her hair was all messed up. "Uh, Misty," Ash said nervously.
"What, Ash? It's my hair, right?". She was calm.
"How'd you guess?" Ash replied. Misty knelt down &
reached into her backpack. She got a comb out. When she was done, she re-did her hair bun.
"Hey, Ash, <climbs into his bed next to him> where do you think we should go
next?"
Chapter 3: Discussions
"I still don't know. I sort of want to go northeast of Cerulean to
explore around there."
"Ash, Misty, breakfast's ready!"
"Well, maybe we'll think of something." Misty sighed.
When they got down the stairs, Ash & Misty couldn't believe their
eyes. It was huge! Grapes, biscuits, jams, jellies, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles,
pancakes, fruits (namely watermelon), and drinks were spread lavishly over the whole
dining table. "Mom, I don't know what to say, but,"
"Let's just say d i g." Misty was already into the food. Once
they finished, Misty could barely stand up. "Hey, Misty!" Ash squealed.
"Sorry." Ash climbed the stairs quickly, and Misty, Misty,
well, she barely made it up. Once they got back to Ash's room, they started talking.
"I still say we should go back to the northeast part of Cerulean."
"I think we should go west of Pallet."
"Misty, don't you wanna stay near somewhere you know?"
"I barely know that part near Cerulean. And I put the same
question to you."
"I have the same problem that you do- I don't know the
place.". Misty collapsed stiffly. "<groan> This feels like trying to win a
match with Psyduck & not being able to switch."
"Misty, you're forgetting that you don't have Psyduck, you have
Golduck."
"Oh yeah, I forgot."
"Another thing Oak told me to tell you is that your Pokédex tells
you which Pokémon you can get."
She opened the Pokédex, & it displayed a list of the 6 Pokémon
she had. "Ash, what about the ones at Cerulean City Gym?"
"Just press that button." Ash pointed. It displayed the list.
"Hey, that's Jigglypuff's song, Misty." Ash was starting to drift under.
"Yeah, wanna sleep?"
"Ohhh, I guess you're right. Get the Poké Ball." Misty
reached into her backpack & got the ball out. She walked over under the covers of
Ash's bed, which he uncovered for her. Then they drifted under.
Ash woke up at 2 in the afternoon. "Misty," he said groggily,
"wake up, Misty."
"Ash, let's go northeast of Cerulean, and where's the
Awakening?". Once she said the last word, Ash sprayed it in her face. She slowly
inhaled it, then perked up. Ash sprayed the Awakening into his face & quickly took a
breath. "We should get going, Ash." Misty commented.
"Yeah, let's go." Ash & Misty both grabbed their
backpacks.
Chapter 4: Remember the Beginnings
Once they had left Pallet & started going north on Route 1, Ash
began to remember the beginning of his journey. "Misty, this river, it-"
"I know what you're talking about. This same river was where I
made my first Pokémon catch."
Ash's mind was beginning to spin. "This place reminds me of what
happened that day, me jumping into that waterfall, my luck to have you fishing where you
were, then that bike ride, and worst of all the Spearow..."
"I remember my first catch."
"What Pokémon did your sisters give you?"
"It was my Starmie. The first wild Pokémon I caught was my
Staryu. The Goldeen I have was from the Viridian City Pokémon Center." she
remembered sadly.
"Do you know where the river leads?"
"If we let the current take us, straight to Viridian. But, I don't
feel like swimming now- follow me." she said softly.
That night, they were halfway up Route 2. "Ash, wanna take the
back route?"
"Uh, what do you mean, Misty?" Ash asked.
"There's another route from Viridian City to Pewter City without
having to bother with the Viridian Forest." Misty suggested.
"Well, okay, but let's camp out here tonight." Ash insisted.
"Fine. It's getting late anyway." Misty agreed with him, (or
gave in), but in any case, they camped out in a grassy meadow with a Poké Ball in it. Ash
cooked some dinner, and once he finished eating walked over & took a look at this
Poké Ball lying over there. He picked it up, and reluctantly threw it. "Misty, take
a look at this thing?"
She climbed out of her tent. "What thing?" she questioned.
"That." Ash pointed. Misty gasped. "Ash, I, I think
that's a piece of the Moon Stone."
Chapter 5: Team Rocket
"It's got that sparkle. It's got that gray color. Misty, I think
you're right!" Ash exclaimed.
Team Rocket was in their balloon looking down on them. "So,"
James boomed, "looks like the twerps found a piece of the Moon Stone."
"We nearly had the c o r e of the Moon Stone!" Jessie yelped.
"Meeeeoowth! Why does that matter? A little piece is more
valuable-"
"You're trying to tell me that that little piece is worth more
than the core?" Jessie glared at Meowth.
"than nothing." Meowth finished quietly. "Hey," Ash
yelled, "what are you three up to now?"
"Smooth move, James. Start the motto."
"Prepare for trouble!"
"And make it double."
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within out nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth & love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth, that's right!"
"We can beat them! Misty calls Starmie!"
"Let's go, Pikachu!"
"Pika!"
"Pidgeot, I choose you!"
"Arbok! Weezing!" Jessie & James called out in unison.
"Pikachu, Thunder now!" Ash screamed. Pikchu powered up for
its most powerful attack, and let the charge out, paralyzing Arbok. Jessie growled.
"Return, Arbok! Go, Lickitung!" Team Rocket's ballon landed.
"Lickitung? Starmie, Hydro Pump!" Misty cried, knowing what
little Jessie's Lickitung could do.
"Weezing, Smokescreen!" James called.
"Don't let them do it, Pidgeot, Gust attack!" Pidgeot blew Weezing into James's
face. He had to call it back. "Victreebel, go!" It tried to eat James. He barely
managed to call it back. Lickitung was already taken care of by Misty, so they were out.
"Finish them, Pidgeot, Whirlwind!" Ash commanded Pidgeot to blow them all away.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
"All right!" Misty exclaimed, "Starmie, return!"
"We did it! Pidgeot, return!" Misty gave Ash a high-five, and he returned the
favor. Misty sighed, and then dove back into her tent for a good night's rest. So did Ash.
