Before Batty left Pallet town, he said goodbye to his Mother, Misty and his Father, Ash.
"Good luck Batty" said Ash "here, have one of my Pokemon, how about Squirtle?"
"Whoa!!" exclaimed Batty "yes please!!" Ash handed Batty a Pokeball.
"I think I will call it Little Guy!"
"That’s a good name Batty!" said Misty.
"Well I gotta go now," said Batty "bye"
"Bye" called Ash and Misty together "good luck!"

Batty reached the border of Pallet town. He looked behind him, he would miss his hometown, but now he could become a Pokemon master. Batty entered the forest surrounding Pallet, keeping a sharp eye out for wild Pokemon. Suddenly a blur swooped past Batty, hitting him hard.
"Ouch" exclaimed Batty
"How do you like my new Pidgey?" said a voice. Batty turned around and saw Michael.
"Hey" said Michael "C’mon lets fight, I bet I win!"
"Oh yea? Little Guy go!" Batty threw his Pokeball and out came Little Guy
"Squirtle Squirt!"
"Pidgey I choose you!" Michael threw his Pokeball.
"Pidgey gust!!" The Pidgey flapped its wings and a huge gust formed. It went flying towards Little Guy.
"Oh no" thought Batty "This will hurt Little Guy." But Little Guy dodged out of the way.
"Way to go Little Guy," shouted Batty "Water Gun" Little Guy blew a powerful stream of water at Pidgey, knocking it meters back into the tree behind it.
"Get up" shouted Michael but Pidgey couldn’t. It fainted.
"Pidgey come back" Michael held out his Pokeball and a beam of light zapped Pidgey back into it’s Pokeball. "Go Winner!"
"Charmander, Char Char"
"Little Guy enough, go Marril!" Batty threw Marril’s Pokeball and Marril came out. "Marril, Water Gun!" Marril’s Water Gun was not as powerful as Little Guy’s but it still did the job. Charmander fainted.
"Oh" complained Michael "I need more powerful Pokemon, I’m going to catch some, smell ya later!"
"Yes, I won my first battle, I am the best. Batty continued through the forest. Suddenly one of his Pokeballs started to shake. He took it out. It was Marrils Pokeball! Suddenly it burst open and Marril was standing beside him.
"So you want to stay out of your Pokeball" said Batty "just like my dads Pikachu! O.K you can stay out, just behave."
"Marril, Mar Marril!" said Marril happily as it danced around on the spot. BANG!!! A sudden explosion rocked the land.
"Hey, what was that." Batty asked Marril
"That is Team Rocket" came a voice. Batty looked to were the voice came from and saw a boy standing there. "Sorry for making you jump" said the boy "I should introduce myself, I’m called Dave and I want to be a Pokemon master, what about you?"
"I’m Batty and I want to be a Pokemon Master too." Replied Batty. "Now, lets go and see what Team Rocket are up to!"
"Wait, first lets battle!" said Dave
"O.K, go Marril!" Marril jumped in front of Batty
"Marril Marril Mar!"
"Bellsprout now!!" Dave threw his Pokeball and out came a Bellsprout."
"Bells Bells Sprout"
"O.K Marril, Tackle!" Marril charged at Bellsprout.
"BELLSPROUT!" It shouted in fear.
"Bellsprout Razor Leaf now!" Bellsprout launched to leaves at Marril. They hit Marril just as he was about to hit Bellsprout. Marril was flung backwards. Batty ran to Marril to see if he was o.k. He had to large slashes on his stomach.
"Marril, shall I take you out of the fight?" asked Batty
"Mar" Marril shook his head.
"Alright! That’s the spirit! Marril, Bite!" Marril rushed towards Bellsprout again, mouth open showing his sharp white teeth.
"Bellsprout Razor Leaf!" Bellsprout sent out another two leaves. This time though, Marril avoided them. He then rushed towards Bellsprout and bit him hard!
"Bellz" Bellsprout screamed out in pain.
"Bellsprout, are you ok?"
"Bell sprout" Bellsprout nodded his head.
"O.K Bellsprout, Sleep powder!" Bellsprout sent out a powder that cloaked around Marril. Marril fell asleep instantly.
"Marril, get up c’mon get up!" but Marril was fast asleep.
"Finish him off Bellsprout!" Bellsprout fired two more razor sharp leaves at Marril hitting him square on the head. Marril passed out.
"Marril you’ll have to come back into your Pokeball and rest for now." Batty held out the Pokeball and the beam of light zapped Marril back into it.
"Dave," Batty said "You win, I don’t want all my Pokemon knocked out."
"Yes!" shouted Dave "I win! See ya" and with that Dave walked off.
"Wow" Batty thought, "He was a lot of help!" Batty walked through the forest trying to find were the explosions were coming from. He came to a clearing and saw two people chucking dynamite into a hole. They were both wearing shirts with a big red R on them. Standing next to them was a Cubone, and it was speaking English! Another explosion rocked the land.
"Where are those Diglett?" said the man. He looked exhausted.
"We should find them soon," replied the woman "put some more explosives into the hole!"
"Hey" called Batty "stop, you're destroying the land!"
"And who are you?" asked the woman.
"I think I should be asking you that!" said Batty
"Let us introduce ourselves," said the Man
"To protect the world from devastation!" said the woman
"To unite all people within our nation!" said the man
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jenny!"
"Jax!"
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light, surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Cubone, that’s right!" the Cubone chipped in.
"Now boy, get along" said Jenny "and leave us to get these Digletts out or else!"
"Or else what?" challenged Batty " You’ll bore me to death? Oh I’m scared!"
"Right, that’s it" said Jax "Drowzee now!" Jax threw his Pokeball.
"I’ll help Jax," said Jenny "Go Doduo"
"Dodu Dodu"
"Drowzee, Drowzee."
"Hey that’s unfair" complained
"We don’t fight fair!" said the Cubone
"Doduo, get hi with Peck." The Doduo rushed towards Batty. Batty tried to shield himself with his hands but it was no use, the Doduo's beaks were too sharp.
"Help," Batty cried "Someone help." He couldn’t reach his Pokeballs so he couldn’t get out Little Guy.
"Hey Batty, need some help?" shouted a familiar voice. It was Dave! "Pidgey, Machop go get'm!"
"Machop"
"Pidgey" The Pidgey swooped down and hit the Doduo at top speed, wounding it seriously in the head.
"Do Do" It said swaying around "Duo" It fainted.
"Well done Dave, Little Guy Go!" Batty threw his Pokeball "Little Guy Water Gun!"
Little Guys blast of water went speeding towards Drowzee.
"DROWZEE!!" It shouted terrified. The water hit it knocking it back into the hole.
"No," shouted Jax "The dynamite is in there, quick, grab him." Jenny beamed Doduo into the Pokeball and rushed over with Jax and Cubone to try and grab Drowzee. But it was too late. Drowzee landed with a thud on the dynamite. BANG!! The explosion was so large it launched Jessie, Jax, Cubone and Drowzee went flying into the distance.
"Looks like Team Rocket are blasting off again!" and they vanished into the distance.
"Thanks Dave, you saved me!" thanked Batty
"That’s ok it was nothing!" replied Dave modestly "Do you, mind if I join you on your quest to become a Pokemon Master?"
"Sure you can let’s go."
