"Hey you sound excited about the Mt. Moon Ben," said Crystal
"I heard that there are some rare Pokés there," replied Ben

"Well, if you wan't to see them, then let's go !"

On the way to Mt. Moon they met some kids, that wanted to battle.

"Hi! I like shorts ! They're comfy and easy to wear !" said one of them.
"So what ?" asked Crystal
"So let's battle !" said the kid, throwing a Pokéball. After the flash a Rattata
materialized.
"Pidgey go !" Crystal said while releasing the small bird, "and win !"
"Rattata, Tail whip it !" The Rattata swung it's tail at the Pidgey, but missed
,
because of the fact, that Pidgey's can fly, so the bird escaped the attack only
by moving it's wings a little.
"Pidgey use your Gust !" A gust formed and hit Rattata, knocking it out.
"Rattata return. Go Ekans !" A purple snake appeared and took the place
instead of Rattata.
"Ekans, Poison sting !" The snake opened its mouth and
little bright stings started to shoot out at the bird.
"Oh no you don't," said Crystal beaming back Pidgey. "It's your turn Vulpix."
The Vulpix, which was standing next to her trainer, jumped in front of Ekans.
"Vulpix, Quick attack." The fox-like Pokémon rushed with incredible speed at
the snake and hit it.
"Eeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnssssssssssssssssss"
"Don't give up," shouted the kid, "wrap it, so it won't be able to move !"
But it was too late, because Vulpix charged again and Ekans fell on the ground,
fainted. The kid recalled his Pokémon and walked away with his friends.

"Here we are, Mt. Moon," said Tom a little exhausted from the trip.
"Yeah I know," replied Ben running towards the cave. Suddenly he stopped.
He turned back and walked to others with a puzzled expression on his face.
"There's a sign saying, it's closed."
"What a bummer." replied Tom.
"And how are we supposed to get to Cerulean now ?" asked Crystal.
"I think, I saw a small road over the mountains. Maybe we could use it."
"Okay, but we have to find it first."
After a several minutes, they eventually found it. It was a dust road with
lots of rocks, but it was the only way to the next city, so they continued.

After a lot of walking they finally got to the other side of the mountain.
In the distance, they could see shiny blue houses.

"Hey, I think that's Celadon ! Let's hurry up !" said Tom excited and started
to run.
"Wait for us !" shouted Crystal quickly running after him, with Ben at her
heels. Some several minutes passed and they were on the edge of the city. First,
they visited the Pokécenter, then they looked around, looking for the gym. They
asked a girl with a disobeying Slowbro on the way.

"You should go that way," she said, pointing in a direction.
"Thanks"

"Man, this gym looks BIG," said Ben.
"Let's take a look inside"

They opened the big door and examined their surroundings. There were several
swimming pools and a water arena.

"Hello you three. Would you like to challenge the leader of this gym ?" asked a
girl.
"Yes !" said all three in unison.
"OK, then who wants to battle me first ?" asked another girl
"Hey, I thought the gym leader was Misty !" said Ben, looking a little puzzled.
"Since Misty agreeded to join Ash on his Pokémon Quest, we, Misty's three
sisters - Violet, Daisy and Lily -  are the leaders now," said a third girl.
"I am Violet," said the first girl.
"I am Daisy," said the second one.
"And I am Lily," said the last.
"Nice to meet you, now can we battle ?" asked Ben impatiently.
"Very well then, I will battle you. 2 on 2 OK ? Go Starmie." said Violet.
After the red flash dissapeared, a big grey star-shaped Pokémon with a jewel
in its middle stood on the platform in the arena.
"A Starmie ?" Tom and Crystal asked at the same time.
Tom quickly checked his Pokédex :

"Starmie
 Mysterious
 Ht   3' 07"
 Wt  176.0 lb
  The center section is named the core. People think it
  is communicating when it glows in 7 colors."

"No problem here, Rattata go !" Ben threw the pokéball.
The Rattata materialized on the other end of the arena, facing its opponent.
"Starmie, Water gun !"
Starmie shot out a powerful stream of water from one of its tips at the Rattata that
fortunately avoided this attack.
"Nice going Rattata, now use your Hyper fang."
The Rattata charged at his opponent and bit it incredibly hard. But the Starmie
looked like it didn't hurt it much.
"Starmie, Tackle"
The Starmie jumped at the Rattata and started spinning. The Rattata took the
hit and was very weakened.
"Rattata return," Ben said, recalling it. "Go Weedle, and give it a taste of your
Poison sting !"
The little Weedle started shooting stings at the Starmie until it showed signs
of exhaustion.
"Now try your String shot"
The Weedle started covering the big Starmie with silk. After several seconds
it couldn't move.
"Return Starmie."
Suddenly bright light surrounded Weedle. It started to grow a little bigger, its
shape changed and then the glow faded away.
"Kakuna"
"Cool, Weedle evolved into a Kakuna !" said Ben excited.
"Go Goldeen," said Violet, interrupting Ben, "and Peck that Kakuna"
The fish appeared before the newly evolved Kakuna and started to peck
it. The attack was effective and Kakuna was very weak.
"Return Kakuna. I give up." said Ben and added, "for now"

"Who is next ?" asked Lily, replacing her sister.
"I am," said Tom, stepping on the trainer field, with his two Pokémon on his
side, ready for battle.
"Allright, the rules are the same, 2 on 2. I call you, Horsea !"
A water horse appeared on her side.
"I choose you Pikachu."
"Pika !" cried Pikachu, jumping in front the Horsea.
"This won't be easy, Horsea, Smoke screen."
The horse emitted a dark stream from its mouth and in a few seconds the
arena was in surrounded in a grey mist.
"Pikachu, dive underwater and try to find Horsea"
The little mouse jumped into the water and started looking for its targed.
Finally Pikachu found, what he was seeking for and didn't waste any second.
The yellow mouse shot a powerful Thundershock through the water at the
Horsea.
"Horsea, don't give up, give it your Water gun."
A stream of water hit Pikachu.
"Pikachu, pass it another Thundershock !"
Litlle Pika once again charged up and then let go a Thundershock.
The Horsea got hit little from it, before recalled by its trainer.
"Return Horsea. I have got something just right for you Tom. Go Cloyster."
A big shelled Pokémon appeared on the platform. Tom, after checking his dex
for info about it, shouted the command.
"Pikachu, Quick attack"
"Cloyster, Withdraw"
Pikachu attacked the Cloyster just as it hid in its shell and the mouse hit the hard
cover.
"Cloyster, Aurora beam."
The Cloyster stopped shielding himself and shot a multi colored beam at Pikachu.
Pikachu was exhausted. Tom spotted this and stopped the fight, before it
could be too late.
"I give up."
"A wise decision. If you would want to continue, you would fail as a trainer"
"Are you OK Pikachu ?"
"Piiii," said the Pokémon weakly
"Don't worry, you'll be fixed up in no time," he said as he took Pikachu in his
arms.
"I can try to fight for the badge another time, no ?" asked Tom.
"Of course you can. I'm looking forward to battle you again."

"And what about you," asked Daisy, looking at Crystal, "do you want to fight too ?"
"Ehhhh, thanks, but I'm thinking of training my Pokémon a little better. I will
fight
you the next time OK ?"
"Fine with me"

"Then bye for now"
And with these words the trio walked away from the Water Gym, and quickly went
to a Pokécenter to heal their Pokémon....
