Chapter 1-Fired!

"Sir, Jessie-James-Meowth have arrived." The Team Rocket member
announced to the hanging screen. Giovanni's face flickered onto the
screen. Jessie, James and Meowth knelt before the screen.
"What did you call us here for, Sir?" asked Jessie.
"I'm sick of you fools screwing up your plans," said Giovanni. "You
still haven't managed to capture Pikachu. You're fired!"
"But boss" gasped Jessie, astounded.
"Please give us another chance," begged James.
"You've had enough chances," said Giovanni. "Get out of here now!"

Jessie, James and Meowth were in shock. Speechless, they walked out of
Team Rocket Headquarters.
"Jessie, what are we going to do?" blurted out James.
"Yeah, now we got no job," commented Meowth. "And we don't want the
assassins to find us."
"Shut up Meowth." Jessie and James said at the same time.
"I can't believe Boss just fired us," said Jessie. "Now we've got no job
and no money."
"Jessie, that's so sad!" wailed James. All three of them burst into
tears. When they had stopped crying, James said
"Well, we could always go to the twerp trio for help."
"Never!" growled Jessie. "Team Rocket has too much pride to ask for the
twerp trio's help."
"But Jessie, we're not Team Rocket anymore," said James. All three fell
silent.
"Den what are we?" asked Meowth.
"I guess we're just Jessie, James and Meowth." Jessie said sadly. They
all started crying again.
"Well, why don't you two just go home?" suggested Meowth, when they had
all finished crying.
"Home?" said James.
"Home to my Mommy," said Jessie. "What a good idea, Meowth!"
"Why, tank you," said Meowth.
"Home to my parents…and Jessiebell," said James. "I don't know if I want
to go home, Jessie!"
"You still have your Growlithe, James," pointed out Jessie.
"True," said James. "And I think my parents might have changed their
minds about making me marry Jessiebell. Anyway, I don't really have
anywhere else to go."
"Where are you going to go, Meowth?" asked Jessie.
"Hmm, I tink I'll go back to Hollywood and join my old gang," said
Meowth. "Who knows, maybe Meowsie will love me now!"
"Well, I guess this means we have to say goodbye," said James sadly. He
and Jessie clasped hands.
"Jessie, I'm going to miss you so much!" he exclaimed.
"I'm going to miss you too James," she said, with tears in her eyes.
"Hey, what about Me-owth?" exclaimed Meowth.
"I'll miss standing on your head," sobbed Jessie.
"Me too," sobbed James.
"Tanks a lot, I'll miss scratching your faces," replied Meowth.
"anyways, I've got places to go."
Jessie and James scooped Meowth up and hugged him.
"Me-owwth!" complained Meowth as he was crushed between them.
"Take care, Meowth." Jessie said, putting Meowth down.
"Good luck with Meowsie," added James.
"Tanks you two. Look after yourselves," said Meowth. He headed off into
the distance.
"Well, Jessie, I guess we'd better leave too," James said sadly. They
threw their arms around each other.
"I'll never forget how you used to make fun of me," wept Jessie.
"I'll never forget how you used to bash me over the head," wailed James.
They pulled away from each other.
"Goodbye Jessie."
"Goodbye James."
They slowly headed off in opposite directions. Suddenly Jessie stopped.
"Wait James!" she called. He turned around.
"Yes, Jessie?"
"I…I…" she began. "I'll never forget you, James," she finished lamely.
"Well, I will never forget you either, Jessie. Goodbye," he said.
"Goodbye."
She watched him walk away with tears streaming down her face.
"I love you James," she whispered. Then she turned around and headed
home.

Chapter 2-James returns home

By the end of the day, James had returned home. He knocked on the door
of his family's mansion. The butler opened the door. His eyes widened.
"Master James?" he asked.
"That's right. Are Mummy and Daddy home?" asked James.
"Why, of course," replied the butler. "Come right in."
James stepped inside. He hadn't been home since that time Jessie and the
twerp trio had rescued him from marrying Jessiebell. Jessiebell…just
thinking about her made James shudder. How could someone who looked so
much like Jessie be so awful? Not that Jessie was exactly charming
either, but still…

The butler ushered James into the lounge, where his parents were sitting
on a couch.
"So James, you decided to come home at last," said his father.
"Yes, Daddy," replied James.
"What made you return?" asked his mother. James hung his head.
"I lost my job, Mummy," a tear ran down his cheek.
"Well, don't cry about it," snapped his father. "Now you're home, you
can marry Jessiebell."
"But-but," stammered James. "But I thought you thought she was too good
for me!"
"We changed our minds," his mother said coolly. "Now, you'd better get
some sleep. We'll have the wedding tomorrow."
"But-but that's so soon!" protested James. His mother shrugged.
"When you're onto a good thing, why wait? Oh, look, here's Jessiebell!"
Jessiebell came racing through the doorway and flung her arms around
James. Her Vileplume trotted along behind her.
"Oh, my James!" gushed Jessiebell in her twangy southern accent. "I've
missed you so much! When can we get married?"
"The wedding's tomorrow," said James's father. "Now, go to bed James.
You'll need a good sleep."
"Goodnight, James darling," crooned Jessiebell. James didn't answer. As
he left the room, he could hear his mother saying
"Now, Jessiebell, we'll need to get you a wedding dress…"

James wandered down the hallway, until he reached the back door. He
stepped out onto the porch.
"Growlie!" he called.
"Growwlithe!" he heard. His Growlithe came racing up the steps of the
porch and into James's arms.
"Growlie!" James hugged it. "I missed you!"
"Growwl!" replied Growlithe.
"Oh, Growlie, what am I going to do?" asked James. "I don't want to
marry Jessiebell! I want Jessie!"
"Growwlithe!" said Growlithe.
"Jessie…" murmured James. Suddenly, he had an idea. He raced inside.

Chapter 3-Jessie gets home

As the sun was setting, Jessie reached her house. She hadn't been home
for years, not since the day she'd run away to join the bike gang where
she'd met James. She knocked on the door. Her mother opened it. Her
mother's mouth dropped open.
"No, it can't be…my Jessie?" she stared hard at her. "It IS my Jessie!"
She threw her arms around her. "I've missed you so much, Jessie," she
sobbed.
"I've missed you too, Mommy." Jessie sobbed back. Her mother took her
inside. "I had just about given you up for dead, Jessie. I haven't seen
you in years. You've grown up so much!"
"I know, Mommy," replied Jessie "I remember when you used to make me
Snowgasborg!" Her mother laughed.
"That seems like a lifetime ago." She glanced at Jessie's clothes, and
started at the Team Rocket logo. "You're part of Team Rocket?"
"Not anymore, Mommy. I got fired." Jessie started crying again. "I had
to leave my two best friends!"
"But you came home."
"I had nowhere else to go."
"Why did you run away from home all those years ago?" her mother asked
her.
"I was sick of being so poor," said Jessie. "So I ran away and joined a
bike gang, where I met a boy called James. Then James and I left the
bike gang, and we went to Pokemon Tech, but we got kicked out. Then we
joined Team Rocket. We had a talking Meowth with us too."
"So why did the boss fire you?" asked her mother.
"Well, we were meant to capture this twerp's Pikachu, and we tried and
tried, but we couldn't capture it. So he fired us." Tears started to run
down her cheeks again.
"There, there, it's alright, Jessie," her mother said, hugging her.
"I'll make you Snowgasborg next time it snows, alright?"
"Alright," sniffed Jessie. Just then, the videophone rang.
"Ring, ring, phone call!" it announced. Jessie answered it. James's face
filled the screen.
"James!" gasped Jessie.
"Jessie, I need your help!" said James. "My parents are making me marry
Jessiebell early tomorrow morning!"
"Oh no!" exclaimed Jessie. "What are you going to do, James?"
"I don't know. Couldn't you come and stop the wedding?" he asked.
"I-I don't know. I'll try," said Jessie.
"Thanks, Jessie. The wedding's in the chapel at my mansion at eight. I'd
better go now."
"James, wait. How'd you get my phone number?"
"I looked it up in the phone book. See you tomorrow Jessie-I hope."
"James, I," she began, as James hung up. "-Love you," she finished,
staring at the blank screen.

Chapter 4-The wedding day

"James, James-wake up!" James's mother said, shaking him. James opened
his eyes.
"I don't want to get up Mummy, I'm tired!" he moaned.
"Well, too bad!" snapped his mother. "It's six O'clock, and you're
marrying Jessiebell in two hours. You have to get ready!"
"But Mummy, I don't want to marry Jessiebell!" complained James.
"Well, I don't care whether you want to or not!" said his mother
harshly. "You're marrying her! Now get up and put on your suit." She
pointed to a suit hanging over a chair. James groaned, and pulled
himself out of bed.
"Get dressed," his mother said, and left the room, pulling the door
closed. James pulled on the suit, and made his way downstairs to the
dining room. His parents were eating breakfast.
"No breakfast for you James," said his father. "You don't want to spill
anything on your suit!"
"But Daddy, I'm hungry!" protested James.
"Too bad!" his father snapped. "You can eat after the wedding."

Dejected, James walked out into the hallway and sat down on the bottom
step of the stairs. He didn't love Jessibell. He loved Jessie. He had
loved her ever since the day that they'd nearly gone down with the St.
Anne. Sometimes, he'd wanted to tell her, but he was afraid that she
didn't love him, and might get angry and whack him over the head, like
she so often did.
"James!" his mother said, walking over to him. "What are you doing just
sitting around? Go and pack your bags for your honeymoon!" James sighed,
and headed upstairs.

At eight O'clock, James stood at the front of his family's chapel. His
parents and Jessiebell's parents were the only ones watching the
wedding. James looked at his watch. Jessiebell would arrive at any
second. Where WAS Jessie?

Chapter 5-Jessie saves the day

Jessie and her mother trudged down the road. They had been travelling
all night to reach James's house. Jessie had taken off her Team Rocket
costume, and was wearing one of her old dresses.
"Is this it?" Jessie's mother asked, as they reached an elaborate gate.
"Yes," replied Jessie. She glanced at her watch and gasped. "It's after
eight! We'd better hurry!" She went to open the gates, but they were
locked. She rattled at the gates.
"How will we get in?" asked her mother.
"Climb over the walls!" said Jessie. They scrambled over the high walls,
raced across the front lawn, until they reached the front door.
"Wait," said Jessie's mother. "I don't think they're going to let us in
without an invitation."
"We'll climb in this window!" said Jessie, pointing to an open window.
She helped her mother through, then climbed in herself. If there was one
thing Jessie had learned from being part of Team Rocket, it was how to
break into places.

Jessie and her mother raced down the hallway. They found a door with a
carved wooden cross hanging on it. Jessie flung open the door.
"If anyone objects to these two being joined in holy matrimony, please
speak now or forever hold your peace," the minister was saying.
"I object!" cried Jessie.
"Jessie!" gasped James. The minister looked up in astonishment.
"And why do you object?" he asked.
"Because I love James!" Jessie burst out.
"No! You can't take my James away from me!" said Jessiebell.
"I love you too Jessie," said James, ignoring Jessiebell. "I've loved
you ever since that day we nearly went down with the St. Anne."
"James, how could you carry on behind my back like this!" shrieked
Jessiebell. She stomped out of the chapel.
"Well James, you've completely blown your chances of marriage!" snapped
his mother.
"Not quite…" said James. He walked over to Jessie. "Jessie, will you
marry me?"
"Yes James," she said.
"Looks like we're blasting off into the sunset!" they said together.

Epilogue

A month later, Jessie and James got married in James's family chapel.
They invited James's parents, Growlie, Jessie's Mommy, Arbok, Weezing,
Victrebell, Likitung, and Giovanni. Meowth was the best man, or should I
say, best pokemon. Meowsie totally rejected him (again) by the way.
James's parents were glad that James had at least found someone to
marry. It snowed on the wedding day, so Jessie's mother made Snowgasborg
for the reception. And as for Giovanni, well he was so pleased that
Jessie and James had invited him to their wedding that he offered to
give them "one more chance" to capture Pikachu. They accepted the offer.
And so, Team Rocket lived evilly ever after.
